prebinding was only used through OS 10.3, so that's not surprising. > This is the error output from the last attempt at installing g95: > > > > $ fink install g95 > Information about 5640 packages read in 1 seconds. > The following package will be installed or updated: > g95 > Reading buildlock packages... > /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i > /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-i386/languages/g95_0.90-2_darwin-i386.deb > (Reading database ... 58292 files and directories currently installed.) > Unpacking g95 (from .../g95_0.90-2_darwin-i386.deb) ... > /sw/bin/dpkg-deb: unexpected end of file in between members in > /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-i386/languages/g95_0.90-2_darwin-i386.deb This sounds like maybe g95 got misbuilt--I've had this error before, but I don't recall which package. Check the size of the .deb file via ls -l /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-i386/languages/g95_0.90-2_darwin-i386.deb (should be all on one line, in case the mailer wrap does strange things). The -l option is to log your output, so if it still doesn't work then we can have you check the log for anything suspicious that crops up. (using the -l option presumes that you're using fink-0.25 or later) -- Alexander K.
