Chances are, if you're cherry-picking things to install from the XCode
installer, that would be your problem.  You will need at least gcc 3.3,
gcc 4.0, the BSD SDK, and the X11 SDK.  Really, you're best off erring
on the side of caution and/or installing *all* of the SDKs from XCode if
you want builds to work as intended.

it will generally be under /sw/src/fink.build/packagename-packageversion
unless you've configured fink otherwise.

It should give a better idea of what's going on...
