I'm currently running perl verion 5.8.6 on my machine, and have been trying
to install the fink package html-parser-pm. Installing
html-parser-pm588 fails, as to be expected. When I attempt to install
html-parser-pm586 (version match), fink tells me that there are "No packages
to install" when clearly there is an html-parser-pm586 package available.
I'm able to install the html-parser-pm584 package but this doesnt seem to do
me any good, or work with perl 5.8.6. Any thoughts on the matter, or as to
why fink is reporting there is no such package?
While I'm familiar with unix/linux, I'm fairly new to a mac os installation
and how things are laid out. Also new with Fink as well.
