There are two issues here:

1)  To get the new package descriptions for the unstable tree, you need
to run a "fink selfupdate" after enabling it. 

and

2)  The gmt maintainer (cced) should really have checked that its
versioned dependency on netcdf was satisfied in the stable tree before
putting that version of gmt there.

However, since I'm taking netcdf over and it seems OK for the stable
tree, I've moved the current version over, and it should be available
shortly.
