Hello,

fist of all I am new to fink (and osx in general) and my question may
be too simple (or inappropriate), but I haven't found any information
in the web or documentation with respect to this.

I just installed the gnupg2 package with fink and, once installed,
when I try to generate a new key I get the error:

gpg-agent[56576]: can't connect server: `ERR 67109133 can't exec
`/sw/bin/pinentry': No such file or directory'
gpg-agent[56576]: can't connect to the PIN entry module: IPC connect call failed
gpg-agent[56576]: command get_passphrase failed: No pinentry
gpg: problem with the agent: No pinentry
gpg: Key generation cancelled.

Actually, I think the error will happen whenever gpg2 needs to ask for
a passphrasse.

The problem is solved by installing the package "pinentry" (or I guess
a similar one such as pinentry-gtk).

I am not sure if this should be reported as a bug in the dependencies
of gnupg2 (which does not install pinentry by default) or not. Or if
it has already being reported?

Also, I am not sure how to report bugs to fink packages, is there a
standard way of doing it?. Or these kind of bugs should not be
reported?

regards,

guille

PD: I'm using OSX 10.5 with fink version 0.27.9 compiled from source,
and installed gnupg2 version 2.0.7-2
