Hi,

There seems to be very few binary packages available via fink (apt-get)
with 10.4 Intel. I would have thought that this would be the one of the
most popular platforms.
Is my impression correct or have I misconfigured somehow?
Maybe something to do with mirrors in Australia ??

What I would like to be able to do is:

    $ sudo apt-get install gnuchash2
    $ sudo apt-get install net-snmp-unified

Are there no binary packages for these?
http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/gnucash2 seems to suggest
that they are. I do have the unstable tree in my sources.list.

BTW, why is gnuchash2 in crypto ??? Weird !!!

BTW, I've also tried "fink -b -y install gnuchas2" and "fink -b -y
install net-snmp-unified" but they both fail at various points :(

I don't seem to be having much luck with fink. It doesn't seem to be
anywhere near as idiot-proof as Debian apt.

My /sw/etc/apt/sources.list file is:

    k9m:~ brendan$ cat /sw/etc/apt/sources.list
    # Local modifications should either go above this line, or at the end.
    #
    # Default APT sources configuration for Fink, written by the fink
    program

    # Local package trees - packages built from source locally
    # NOTE: this is automatically kept in sync with the Trees: line in
    # /sw/etc/fink.conf
    # NOTE: run 'fink scanpackages' to update the corresponding
    Packages.gz files
    deb file:/sw/fink local main
    deb file:/sw/fink stable main crypto
    deb file:/sw/fink unstable main crypto

    # Official binary distribution: download location for packages
    # from the latest release
    deb http://bindist.finkmirrors.net/bindist 10.4/release main crypto

    # Official binary distribution: download location for updated
    # packages built between releases
    deb http://bindist.finkmirrors.net/bindist 10.4/current main crypto

    # Put local modifications to this file below this line, or at the top.

Thanks for any help or pointers,
Cheers, Brendan.
