At work I'm behind a firewall and despite many tries CVS and rsync
updating don't work. I've got an Intel desktop MacPro and Intel
MacBookPro. On the desktop I have fink installed and run the programs
ARB and Gnome and some others. On the MacBookPro I've installed ARB and
it's dependencies (no gnome installed). How can I use the portable to do
updates at home and copy the info to the MacPro? Do I need to have the
exact same programs installed on both machines to copy the /sw/fink
directory and then have fink update on the desktop?
