Hello All - "Beginners" is the right place for me. My last "make" was in 1995, and anything I knew is long since decayed away.
I am trying to build an application that requires libjpeg-devel. I don't find it in the Fink packages. If that is so, what are my alternatives, and how do I implement them (please, I need details here). I've found an internet reference that says it's in libpng (and presuming then in libpng3). Another reference says it's in ImageMagick. Can anybody give me a detailed steer, please? The project is to build the Hewlett-Packard HPLIP drivers. There is no MacOS procedure to follow, but there is a FreeBSD one that I've embarked upon.
