Hello, I have just gotten a new mac and went about installing my favorite things and ran into the following snags.
*** After installing Xcode2.5 from apple I had to add to modify the default fink path from /sw/bin:/sw/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/X11/bin:/usr/local/ bin:/usr/X11R6/bin To: /sw/bin:/sw/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/X11/bin:/usr/local/ bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/Xcode2.5/usr/bin:/Xcode2.5/usr/sbin To account for the fact that gcc and other good things are now in / Xcode2.5/usr/bin. Is this in general necessary? *** Then I tried to install xfig using fink and got : $xfig dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libpng12.0.dylib Referenced from: /sw/bin/xfig Reason: Incompatible library version: xfig requires version 25.0.0 or later, but libpng12.0.dylib provides version 1.0.0 Trace/BPT trap I could not resolve this problem: *** fink -V gives Package manager version: 0.27.16 Distribution version: 0.9.0.1 i386 The OS is Mac 10.5.2 Thanks for any help, Derek ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.fink.beginners
