before fink install gnucash2 Once you have done the selfupdate-rsync once, you only have to use 'fink selfupdate' in the future. Without the -rsync after you install fink from its installer, you're stuck with only the packages that have a binary available. Be prepared to wait at least a couple hours for gnucash2 and all its dependencies to build/install when you get that far. If you want the latest and greatest gnucash2, then you'll want to have the unstable branch of fink enabled. If you didn't answer 'yes' to that question when you installed fink, run 'fink configure' and say yes this time. Then run 'fink selfupdate' again. gnucash2 2.2.6 is available in stable (but not as a binary), 2.2.7 is available in unstable.
