Ok; at least now I can tell _which_ package is failing, which wasn't in
the prior message.  Your issue appears to be with tetex-base, and
mentioning other packages confused the issue.  It's almost _never_
important what package you are ultimately trying to install; the
important package for our purposes is whatever one is failing at the moment.

It's also good to provide your OS version and architecture.

Unfortunately you snipped off what version of tetex-base you're
installing, but we did have to update it recently.  You'll want to do a
selfupdate with rsync or cvs updating to download current package
descriptions.
