Hmm. That looks like the right fontconfig to me. What do you get
from entering:
otool -L /sw/lib/fontconfig2/lib/libfontconfig.1.dylib | head -2
in a terminal window?
Did you have xquartz 2.4.0 installed before you upgraded to Snow
Leopard?

The following is what I get from the command:

/sw/lib/fontconfig2/lib/libfontconfig.1.dylib:

current version 5.0.0)
And yes, I did have xquartz 2.4.0 installed before I upgraded to Snow
Leopard.
