#1) What's your Fink version and selfupdate method? Use the command  
below to get this information:

fink -V | head -n 2

#2) Which trees are enabled on your system? Use the command below to  
get this information:

grep ^Trees /sw/etc/fink.conf

#3) Do you have

NoAutoIndex: true

in /sw/etc/fink.conf? If so, please remove that line and run

fink index

#4) Do you have the following file on your system?

/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/graphics/xfig.info
