I wonder if it would be too difficult to add a new option to fink to
get this information. Something like --version with steroids. It could
be 'fink --reportproblem' and the output could include all relevant
information about fink and the system. It could include the last error
log, if possible. Maybe it could make easier for newbies (like myself)
to report problems. It's really easy to forget to include this
information.

Now I'm thinking that it could run automatically after an error and
tell the user that there is a Report file in the directory
~/directory/problem_date.txt
