Following up:
The issue does indeed appear to be related to gtk-doc. You didn't say,
but I'm guessing you're on the unstable tree. Try downgrading gtk-doc via
fink install gtk-doc-1.11-7
and then see whether dbus-shlibs builds. It worked for me.
