Following up again:

gtk-doc has been updated in current/unstable to version 1.13-3, which
solves this problem.  Do a selfupdate and check via e.g. "fink list
gtk-doc" that 1.13-3 is available.  If it is, install that, and then you
should be able to make dbus work.
