If you have the unstable tree enabled at this point, these messages
indicate that you have not run a selfupdate-rsync or selfupdate-cvs yet.
 Without doing that, you won't download the unstable package descriptions.

These messages refer to packages built from the unstable tree on _your
machine_.  "fink scanpackages" will quiet them.  They also indicate that
unstable is turned on.

Fink Commander was in the disk image from which you installed Fink.  At
this point you shouldn't need to worry about it, though.  Running "fink
selfupdate-rsync" or "fink selfupdate-cvs" after turning on unstable, as
I said to do in my initial message as well as above, should suffice to
make socnet-mac or socnet visible to you.
