If you set things up in cron to run fink as root then a password won't
be required.  Try "fink -y update-all", too (cf. 'man fink')

That being said, Fink isn't perfectly set up perfectly to work in an
unattended fashion--you may find that some packages fail to download on
'update-all', for example, and that will stop your attempt to update.
