This depends on where you are running the find command from.  If you're
in /Applications/fink-0.29.19/mirror then it should show up.

That was an output, not an input.  :-) I prefaced inputs with $, to
match my shell prompt.

 That file appears to be present, then, but not executable, which is fine.

Right.  That's where _I_ set up my test (as per the output of pwd)

Actually, no.  Let's simplify things.  Run

ls -l /Applications/fink-0.29.19/mirror


and post back what you get.
