Dear Fink list: I have been trying to install Fink for the most part of the day and was able to fix some of the problems but have hit a brick wall on this one which seems to be a general problem across multiple distribution platforms regarding libexpat.la and how libtool does not recognize it as a valid archive. The following is the complete copy of the error:
