Well, there was no other terminal command line flashing cursor in that
window anyway, just the [END] . . . and it seems that runnning the "fink
update-all" command brought the operation back to those questions about
"choosing the system desktop, use gnome or keep the default?" and it seems
to be moving forward from there, rather than downloading it all over again,
so something seems to be going right? Obviously, the future remains a
mystery . . . .
