Dr H:

Just to follow up on this part of the conversation, the sawfish part. FC
didn't show db51-aes status as installed, but I ran the "remove" command in
FC and several milliseconds later it said it was removed. So, I tried the
install sawfish in FC and it ran for several hours and it's probably still
running/building now 6 hours later, so perhaps it will be a "successful"
installation. If it is, is sawfish something that can be run in X11 or
Terminal to get an idea of how to run a Unix app? I recall that you said
that X11 had its own window manager and it might conflict with the sawfish
wm?? So, what would be the command to get sawfish to do something if in
fact sawfish gets installed?

permanent, using Fink Commander's remove function.
