Hi Thanks, I've managed to progress a bit further. However, the bootstrap process crashed with:
=== start === pod2man --section=1 /sw/src/fink.build/dpkg-bootstrap-1.10.21-1218/dpkg-1.10.21/scripts/dpkg-architecture.pl > dpkg-architecture.1 /bin/sh: /usr/bin/pod2man: Permission denied make[2]: *** [dpkg-architecture.1] Error 126 make[1]: *** [all-scripts] Error 2 make: *** [all-recursive] Error 2 ### execution of make failed, exit code 2 sh: fink-virtual-pkgs: command not found Use of uninitialized value $lines[2] in concatenation (.) or string at /Users/danhorne/Downloads/fink-0.31.0/perlmod/Fink/PkgVersion.pm line 5370. phase compiling: dpkg-bootstrap-1.10.21-1218 failed Before reporting any errors, please run "fink selfupdate" and try again. If you continue to have issues, please check to see if the FAQ on Fink's website solves the problem. If not, ask on one of these mailing lists: The Fink Users List <fink-us...@lists.sourceforge.net> The Fink Beginners List <fink-beginners@lists.sourceforge.net>. Please try to include the complete error message in your report. This generally consists of a compiler line starting with e.g. "gcc" or "g++" followed by the actual error output from the compiler. Also include the following system information: Package manager version: 0.31.0 Distribution version: selfupdate-point (bootstrap), 10.7, x86_64 Trees: local/main stable/main Xcode === end === Unfortunately, most of what happened whizzed part faster than I could read it. I tried to run it again, teeing the output the output this time, but it wanted to writer to /sw2 rather than /sw. Is this bad? Can I clear out /sw and start again?
