On 10.5 and later, normally X11 starts itself if you run an

Okay, so the good news is, the build completed and it did appear to install gimp2 as a package. I had to do the following to get things working (as the build suggested):

sudo apt-get install gsm=1.0.10-1

Now, the bad news: I can't start it! Is there anything special that I need to do to run gimp2? If I try to run the X11 from the Finder (i.e. Applications --> Utilities --> X11), it doesn't seem to want to start. Here's the ps output:

powermac:~ rodney$ ps -ef | grep -i X

If I run gimp-2.6, the only thing that happens is that my hard drive thrashes with activity. Do I need to install a special fink-based X11?

Thanks.
