Yet another fink newbie to contend with. My apologies. I recently upgraded
fink, then tried updating xfig, but ran into trouble with fontconfig2-dev
needing expat (at least I am guessing that is what has happened). Some
relevant system data:
Package manager version: 0.34.4Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Sun Dec
16 11:02:26 2012, 10.5, powerpcTrees: local/main stable/main stable/crypto
unstable/main unstable/cryptoXcode.app: 3.1.4Xcode command-line tools:
3.1.4Max. Fink build jobs: 1 (changed from 2, originally)
This is what I tried to do:
quaternion-3:~ Mike$ sudo fink update fontconfig2-devPassword:Information about
13322 packages read in 2 seconds. The following package will be installed or
updated: fontconfig2-devThe following 2 additional packages will be installed:

Then much "checking" goes on.
I think this is where the error occurs:

A list of expat shows

I am not sure how or where to use the option --enable-libxml2 if that is what
needs to be done.
