I have recently gotten a new mac and am trying to setup fink so I can make
use of AFNI. I was able to sucessfully download it and got it to run with
bash, but AFNI requires tcsh. So I chsh to change the shell to tcsh. I
logged out and back tried running the path setup, it recognized it was in
tcsh. but when I clicked yes amend the .cshrc file it gave me a message
saying
"hmm. I tried my best, but it still does not work. The code I put into
.cshrc has no effect. Please check your tcsh startup scripts. Perhaps
some other file like ~./login is resetting the PATH after .cshrc is
executed." I tried followoing the steps in
http://fink.thetis.ig42.org/doc/users-guide/install.php but it still
couldn't find fink. Then I used pico to open up the .login file and it is
empty and if I type echo $SHELL it tells me /bin/tcsh. I also checked and
.tcshrc is also blank. I searched the archives as well and was unable to
find anything pertinent as well. I am running mac 10.8.4 if that matters.
 Thanks for your assistance.

Nicholas
