Thanks, Jack. Running fink selfupdate still returns inkscape-0.48.4-8. I suppose it is best to sit tight until 0.48.4-9 is validated, at which point it will be added to the proper Fink tree? Or is there a way for me to grab the update now?
Best, Marc _______________ From: Jack Howarth <howa...@bromo.med.uc.edu> Subject: Re: [Fink-beginners] Inkscape fails to compile on OS 10.9 Date: November 17, 2013 at 4:49:00 PM CST To: fink-beginners@lists.sourceforge.net, dma...@netspace.org Marc, I've posted packaging for inkscape-0.48.4-9 on fink tracking which has been tested on both 10.8 and 10.9 with 'fink -m' and uses the MacPorts approach of backporting the changes from the inkscape 0.48.x branch up to revision 9985. https://sourceforge.net/p/fink/package-submissions/4370/ Jack ps Daniel, the patch-thru-r9985.diff is huge and maybe should be converted to a source file that is stored on the fink servers. However, I think it is smarter to just sync with the inkscape 0.48.x branch rather than try to cherry pick so many random commits from there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shape the Mobile Experience: Free Subscription Software experts and developers: Be at the forefront of tech innovation.
