Sorry to be a pest, but I'm hung up in the middle of this process. Early in the installation it tells me that the Java runtime is missing. If you follow the instructions you are sent to a web page for the runtime (from Apple) which is empty.
However, I had already installed Java v8u25. Which you'd think would do it. But it does not. Looking around I think I found the runtime. It is here: smithp01-MB-10> /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java -version java version "1.8.0_25" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b17) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode) But I can't seem to create an alias to it or put the path anywhere so that the darned thing works. I have looked at various websites when this problem is discussed. No solutions are described. Hope you can help... -Ross Smith- > On Nov 5, 2014, at 11:01 AM, Alexander Hansen <alexanderk.han...@gmail.com> > wrote: > > On 11/5/14, 6:43 AM, Smith, Phillip R. wrote: >> Sorry, I made a really silly mistake. >> >> On one machine, I followed the upgrade path from 10.9+0.38.0 to 10.10. >> Everything went swimmingly.
