Java on OS X is a giant cluster...
The JRE appears to be intended for web browsers only. Fink uses the JDK
instead, because we need to build stuff. In addition to headers, it includes
its own runtime elements in a different location, puts a “java” in the PATH,
and so on.
$ /usr/libexec/java_home
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_25.jdk/Contents/Home
The page you didn’t get is just an OS X Java download page from Oracle, so you
can hit the Oracle Java download area yourself and install the JDK (8u25 is
fine).
