(Bringing in our cvs maintainer, in case we need to do some revision separating 
for different OS X)

Could we please see the output of “dpkg -p cvs”?  The issue looks like 
something you might see when using a version of the package which was built for 
a different OS X version than what you are using, and I’d like to confirm that.

Then use “fink rebuild cvs” to rebuild it against your current setup.
