From the drop-down at the lower-right corner of the File->Export window (wxmaxima-gtk) I get the following options: HTML file (*.html) maxima batch file (*.mac) pdfLaTeX file (*.tex) Export to pdfLaTeX worked for me, though I had to change the extension manually. So you don’t have the pdfLaTeX option in the drop-down?
