With your help, everythings seems to be working fine for me with MacOS Sierra Version 10.12 and Xcode 8.0. A recent fink update, however, results in hour long compilations [still ongoing] and I do not really know, what the system is up to. Perhaps I saw gcc 5 somewhere....
