Yay for progress! We don't want to forget about rsync and package source (distfiles) mirroring. As we get our centralized services back up and running, some additional things we should do are: 1) Contact our mirror providers (assuming we still have accessible information for them) and let them know to point here for distfiles and rsync information. 2) Develop new rsync mirror scripts that can grab data from github instead.
