I've noticed a minor problem with the above package (details below). I came to
contact the maintainer and noticed that there wasn't one, and the contact
address was this list. Does this mean that the package is unmaintained, or
simply that it's a group effort? In either case, would it be feasible for me
to take the job on? I've got quite a bit of Unix/Linux experience, and
have been using Debian for years, and although I'm fairly new to both DocBook
and Mac OS X, I'm sure I can get up to speed. What's involved in becoming a
package maintainer?

The Problem:

The ISO Entity files (/sw/share/sgml/dtd/docbook/*/iso*) are installed with
permisions 650; this causes error messages when you reference the DTDs (even
simply by having them in a catalog file), although they still work after a
fashion (I guess because I'm not using any non-Latin characters). Changing the
permsions to 655 seems to solve the problem.
