It should even be trivial to write a nice Cocoa frontend with a GUI 
for this. Like an "assistant" or "wizard". You enter the information 
it needs (and of course it has a pref that makes it remember the 
default value for maintainer etc.) and it generates the info file.

The next step is to edit it. A simple GUI editor for that could use a 
NSOutlineView, though I personally think of various other approachs 
that'd be much nicer... however that's just daydreaming :-) 
personally I am happy using a text editor, but I see how other people 
might benefit from any help in writing .info files.
