Well, in this case it was DOS line endings. I don't know how they got into the info files. I think it happened during the upload to the tracker.
Yes I think we could do that, although in theory CVS should be able to automatically convert line endings as needed ?!
Yes, that's what I thought too. It could be that CVS didn't know what to do with DOS line endings since it is not in the native format.
Or we could enhance fink itself to parse different line endings correctly.
