That would appear to be the case. I did a fink reinstall gettext to get
back to one real libintl just now, and I had 2 symlinks and the real
library for 30 seconds or so until the prebinding tool kicked in.
Now, I have 1 symlink and 2 copies of libintl again.

This may have to do with a gnulibtool stupidity of making the
install_name libfoo.1.dylib but the real library is put into
libfoo.1.x.y.dylib. It seems likely that the output of the prebinding
tool is being set to the install_name. Especially as diff/cmp tell me
that the 2 files differ.

Ben Reed has done all the fink-prebinding work, so we'll have to ask him
when he gets up.
