As I stated in my reply, reindexing only takes 10-20 seconds (at least in my test runs). I don't understand how it's possible that apparently the regular updates (which are driven by a cron job running from my SF.net account) take so long... I guess I'll have to stop by when one of the regular ones runs and then monitor it.

I've just checked ('curl http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/index.php' from a machine that TTBOMK does not have any sort of web caching) every minute or so for the past 1.5 hours (at different seconds during the minute). Here's the first and last versions...

I believe this is not our fault. SF's SQL server is simply hosed today. This has happened in the past, nothing unusual.


http://fink.sourceforge.net/phpmyadmin/ takes foreever to load for example.

Anyway I started a manual inject of the PDB on fink.sf.net, and its been running for 35 minutes now...
