Sorry, I have to disagree with this.

In a fink .info file, you need to list the URL from which the package
can be obtained.  distfiles is never supposed to be the original URL,
only a backup.

We've had the ability for a long time to host source files on fink's
sourceforge release page, and that's the correct thing to do.  You
have to get one of the core group to help you, though, since only a
few people are allowed to release files there.  I'll be happy to help
you get your file into position, Dan.  (Sorry, I was out of town for
a few days and missed this thread...)
