Sure, that's actually why I decided to post it to the list rather than
through a request tracker -- people can make up their own minds if they
want this on their own systems or not. (There is, however, a mistake in
init.sh in CVS for which I will submit a report if one does not already
exist.)

Well, setup is already complicated for users that have Zsh as their
shell, because init.sh generates error messages and hasn't worked
since last year. (In my experience, at least.)

Although it may be undesirable to maintain a third file, or to modify
pathsetup.command, two potential advantages of a Zsh version are that
the code is easier to understand and revise, and would not break with
new (backward-compatible) versions of Zsh.
