Just a remark from the sidelines about this misunderstanding: There was no "Depends: foo-pm560 | foo-pm581" here, only "Depends: foo-pm".


But in the versioned package foo-pm%type_pkg[perl] there is a

Provides: foo-pm

which has the same effect of proposing a bogus choice to the user.

This should be outlawed, too, if I understand the current version of the pm policy correctly. There are quite a few foo-pms like this.
