So to put it short one would have to use apt-get for each package at the time it would be otherwise compiled or some old dependencies would be downloaded. This means wasting the source that is already downloaded and ready to compile. So something has to be modified. I think it should be possible to use (or modify) apt-cache to show where the package is located and download it outside of apt.
Also I would like the option to dowload even old packages that satisfy the dependencies.
