A week ago I moved to the 10.4 tree (from 10.4-transitional) by blowing away /sw and rebuilding everything. All went swimmingly except for libapache2-ssl-mod-svn, which refuses to build with an APR > 0.9.9. Given the current APR in Fink is 0.9.12, this presents a problem.
Three days ago I sent an email to the libapache2-ssl-mod-svn maintainer. I've received no answer, and the broken behavior still exists. A few minutes ago I did the selfupdate dance to make sure of it. I mean no disrespect to the Subversion maintainer, but Subversion is currently in a 1.3.x. We should probably update to 1.3 sooner rather than later, and it would be nice if we could get Subversion working with Apache again. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: libapache2-ssl-mod-svn problems Date: Fri, 11 Aug 2006 20:12:45 -0500 From: Robert J. Hansen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]@PLEASE> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] First, to head things off at the pass: I just did a fink selfupdate, so I'm not looking at an old version of mod-svn. ... Anyway. There appears to be a bug in the libapache2-ssl-mod-svn buildscript. configure: Apache Portable Runtime (APR) library configuration checking for APR... yes checking APR version... 0.9.12 wanted regex is 0\.9\.[5-9] or 1\. configure: error: invalid apr version found You may want to update libapache2-ssl-mod-svn to reflect the most recent version of APR, especially since fink doesn't list any versions of APR other than 0.9.12-10. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
