There are presently about 2 dozen packages that use lesstif in some way. Please check each one to see what it actually uses before even proposing to drop a shared library. We keep lots of broken libraries in fink for many reasons..."something needs it even though it's got problems that won't be fixed because upstream no longer supports such an old version" is quite common (even debian is having a hell of a time getting rid of gnome1 stuff).
