This is not easy. You would, of course, have to install the X11User.pkg 
and X11SDK.pkg from the system DVD. But if your DVD is for 10.5.0, you 
would then need to [re-]upgrade your system using the 10.5.4 combo 
update dmg. The latter will perhaps reinstall an essential file that is 
necessary for X11, but is not contained in the X11{user,SDK].pkg:

/System/Library/LaunchAgents/org.x.X11.plist

It is not installed (rather deleted, I think) by the xquartz update, and 
it comes from Essentials.pkg and was updated by the 10.5.2 
softwareupdate. The xquartz package has the two files

/System/Library/LaunchAgents/org.x.startx.plist
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.x.privileged_startx.plist

which need to be removed, too.
