I've updated the proposed meschach packaging to now pass ' -compatibility_version 1 -current_version 0' to gcc and to create a libmeschach.0.dylib with libmeschach.dylib symlink for main meschach package. I am still uncertain of what is the most honest value to use for the compatibility version. The http://www.cs.uiowa.edu/~dstewart/meschach/ web page doesn't address the soversion issue. I guess the 1.2b release can be considered to be 'out' and the version of 1 is okay. I thought the only case where a compatibility version of 0 should be used is if the first release of a software package hasn't really occcured yet. In any case, I think I'll be checking meschach in this weekend after I touch up the descriptions in the info file. Jack
