It would be wise at this point to begin testing llvm-gcc on darwin10
as the replacement compiler for fink. I've already discovered that llvm-gcc
in Xcode 4.0.1 (and all llvm.org releases) miscompiles cc1 in recent FSF gcc...

http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=9571

The importance of testing this can be deduced from the most recent entry in...

http://www.nondot.org/sabre/Resume.html

Since Apple is unable to test any code which is now GPLv3, we should verify
all such packages in fink compile and pass their testsuite using llvm-gcc.
Unfortunately, llvm.org is depreciating llvm-gcc after the llvm 2.9 release
next week so motivating the linux llvm.org programmers (who are free to
touch GPLv3 code) to look at new llvm-gcc problems with GPLv3 code will be
increasingly problematic.
