Bill,
I've posted revised packaging for the new apbs-1.4.0 release which now
uses cmake only for its build. The new version also now uses only c/c++ code
so that clang can be used. The cmake build of the bundled maloc mangles the
resulting
libmaloc shared library (ie no soversion or install name). Thus I created a
maloc
package for 1.5 based on Fedora's build. The apbs package BuildDepends on maloc
and
Depends on maloc-shlibs. The apbs cmake build defaults to shared libraries now
but they haven't properly dealt with this using soversioning yet so I've removed
the -dev splitoff and marked the shared libraries as private for now. The
python support is left disabled as well since upstream hasn't properly
implemented
a way to detect and use a non-system python. This isn't required for using
apbs-tools
in pymol anyway. I've tested the packaging posted at...

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3606648&group_id=17203&atid=414256

with 'fink -m' on x86_64-apple-darwin12 and verified that the resulting apbs
works fine within pymol using apbs-tools2.
           Jack
