Hi Fink-Users! Today I did 'apt-get install mysql'. As I noticed MySQL does not start automatically when booting the machine.
The included files fixes this "problem" by adding an entry for MySQL to /System/Library/StartupItems. The archive was made using the -P flag to gnutar so that it contains absolute paths. sudo gnutar xvfz MySQL-Startup.tar.gz should do everything necessary to have MySQL started at boot-time automatically. A legal note at the end: Everything you do with these files you do on your own risk. If you have comments or improvements or anything else, feel free to drop me an eMail. Regards, Benjamin Boksa
