I tried a Gnome install using sudo fink install bundle-gnome. The download
wouldn't complete because one of the dependencies, slang-1.4.4.tar.gz, is no
longer available on the ftp site. It has been replaced by
slang-1.4.5.tar.gz. I manually downloaded this version, changed the name to
1.4.4 and re-ran the install.

The install failed, but not because of this problem.

On another note, I tried installing gimp. Everything seemed to go without a
hitch, but now that the install is complete (without any error messages) I
can't find the app, nor can I get it to run.

Any Ideas?
